02.10

Banks of the Seine with Pont de Clichy in the Spring was painted in 1887 By the famous artist Vincent Van Gogh. Banks of the Seine with Pont de Clichy in the Spring can be purchased from companies like Portrait Painting Inc.

This company also specialise in creating pet portraits from photos as well as oil reproductions of many famous paintings.

This painting has been painted very well by Vincent Van Gogh who was a talented artist. His brush strokes make the painting seem realistic and his bold use of colours makes the painting an gallery art piece. In this painting Vincent has used many shades of green and yellow.

The painting includes two trees and if you look closely you will see in-between the trees there is a blue flowing river and a bridge.

This landscape painting is perfect for people who love paintings of the outdoors. It is another unique painting by Vincent Van Gogh and is worth buying.

Perhaps I Expected Too Much from the Sigma 30 1.4 Lens

2012
01.21

I don’t know if I perhaps expected a bit too much from the Sigma 30 1.4 or if I am just spoiled by the results that I got from a friends Nikkor lens that I borrowed but to me this lens is just average. In fact, in all categories except for the build quality, which is superlative, I have seen better results from other lenses. The problem is that when buying camera lenses, irrespective of what they cost, not many people are willing to settle for merely average. Personally, I want the best that my money can buy and to me the Sigma just does not cut it. Like I said, I could have become spoiled by the other more expensive lenses that I have used but I would rather save up a bit more and get a better product. This is one lens that I am quite glad that I did not buy.

The Great Optics of the Panasonic 14-45mm

2012
01.14

In terms of optical performance, the Panasonic 14-45 is probably the best kit lens that is on the market. The optics of this lens is extremely sharp on the centre and on the border. Also, this lens controls its operations very well. For instance, chromatic aberration is kept almost at zero degree at every aperture and focal length on this lens. Distortion control and vignetting control are fairly good compared with other lenses in its league. Vignetting and distortion are only apparent at the first focal length (14mm) but they are significantly controlled at other apertures.

Another attractive thing on this lens is its fabulous build quality. Also, the build quality on this lens is excellent (better than that of Nikon 18-55mm VR). On the Panasonic 14-45mm, there is no zoom creep. This is great because the picture taken by this lens will always be clear. This lens also has admirable zooming power. If you are planning to get a lens for landscape photography or street photography, this is the best lens.
